Winter 2022/23

The vineyard has experienced a good period of vernalisation, a long cold spell of weather that helps eliminate any lingering spores of disease and ensures dormancy of the vine to enable good flowering in the Spring. We have had many below freezing temperatures during January and early February, with cold dry sunny days, which also makes for some spectacular photography in the vineyard. The pruning has started in earnest and will be keeping our vineyard manager busy for the next few weeks.
